Volbeat Land More Platinum & Gold Certifications In The United States

Another round of sales/streaming certifications have been awarded to Volbeat in the United States. The RIAA have just announced a trio of singles certifications for the Danish rockabilly metal outfit.

Two songs from the band’s gold-certified 2010 album “Beyond Hell/Above Heaven” are among those to take home this latest hardware, with the album’s second single “Heaven Nor Hell” newly having gone gold. That record’s final single, “A Warrior’s Call“, has notched up the band their second platinum single, having newly been certified as such yesterday, February 12th. That song was last certified gold back in November of 2010.

Outside of that, “Lola Montez“, the third single from the band’s gold-certified 2013 album “Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies” has newly notched up a gold certification as well. These certifications follow last week’s news of the band’s track “The Devil’s Bleeding Crown” becoming their first to go platinum in the United States.

Volbeat are currently taking 2024 off from touring and have plans to write and record a new album.

A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit.
