Ozzy Osbourne & Jane’s Addiction Among 2024 ‘Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame’ Nominees (Updated)

Ozzy Osbourne has since commented on his nomination, stating the following via social media yesterday, February 10th:

“I’m deeply honored to receive this news from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. To be one of the few musicians who’s being considered for a second entry, now as a solo artist, is something I could never have imagined. After 44 years as a solo artist the fact that I can continue to record music and receive this recognition is something I am incredibly proud of.”

The nominees have been announced for the 2024 ‘Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame‘, and among them are some metal and alternative rock giants, namely heavy metal’s own Prince Of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne and Jane’s Addiction. Osbourne‘s potential solo induction would mark his second time being inducted into the hall, having already been inducted back in 2006 for his work with pioneering heavy metal outfit Black Sabbath.

In addition to votes being fielded by over 1,000 artists, historians and members of the music industry, fan-voting on the nominees is presently underway via The official inductees will be announced this April. An induction ceremony is expected to be held in Cleveland, OH this fall with an official date and details still pending.
