Multi-platinum alternative metal stars Tool once again had bluegrass star Billy Strings join them onstage last night, January 23rd. As he did in Salt Lake City, UT last fall (watch that here,) the GRAMMY Award-winning Michigan-based musician sat in for a guest solo.
While the aforementioned Salt Lake City set saw Strings rip into the “10,000 Days” cut “Jambi“, last night’s performance at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN saw him guest on “The Grudge“, the opening track to Tool‘s 3x multi-platinum third studio album, “Lateralus“.
Despite Tool‘s strict no-filming policy at their live events, footage of this latest sonic (re)union has made its way online. Tool are presently expecting to focus on a new album after wrapping up the following touring commitments:
