While much was made of Sleep Token‘s decision to purge their Instagram yesterday, January 16th, there’s also been some more clarity as to recent happenings in the band’s camp. While initially rumored, it appears to be true that certain individuals obtained documents and other personal details of members of the secretive outfit and began spreading them online.
Whether or not that precipitated the blackout of sorts remains to be seen. However, seemingly playing into the band planning the move, the group shared the below video for their track “Ascensionism” yesterday post-blackout.

Breakout alternative metal outfit Sleep Token have sparked some conversation among their fans by wiping their Instagram and adding the caption of ‘Nothing lasts forever.’ to their bio. With the announcement of a spring U.S. tour from the band seemingly on the horizon, some have seen this move to be a PR stunt. Others however have grown more concerned about what it could mean.
Either way, at the moment the band’s previously announced live plans are still set to go ahead as planned, so take this latest development on their social media how you will.
