Anthrax, etc. guitarist Scott Ian recently celebrated his 60th birthday with a gala-style event attended by his family and many of his famous peers and friends. Among those seen in attendance at the event were his Anthrax bandmates Charlie Benante (drums) and bassist/vocalist Frank Bello), as well as Robert Trujillo (Metallica), Robb Flynn (Machine Head), Carla Harvey (Butcher Babies), Brendon Small (Dethklok), Gary Holt (Exodus, ex-Slayer), Andrew Hurley (Fall Out Boy, The Damned Things) and many more.
The celebration was held at the Galpin Speed Shop in Van Nuys, California, and with that much musical talent present, jam sessions soon followed. One of those collaborative performances found Alice In Chains vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell fronting a cover of Billy Joel‘s “You May Be Right“. Footage of that has cropped up online below.
