Falling In Reverse‘s Ronnie Radke may have had a frustrating weekend, but he certainly now has some news to smile about it. His band’s 2019 single “Popular Monster” has newly received a 2x multi-platinum certification from the RIAA for its performance in the United States. That song previously went platinum in October of 2021.
Likewise, the band’s 2022 track “Zombified” has also picked up an award, receiving its first gold certification. That latter cut has also got a bump due to it being used as the official entrance theme by Radke‘s significant other, AEW wrestler Saraya Bevis. Both of these latest certifications were handed down today, December 12th.
A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit.
