Earlier this year, NYC thrash metal legends Anthrax hit the studio to lay down 9 new songs with producer Jay Ruston (Stone Sour, Avatar). This month has found the band back in the studio to track the rest of the material they have planned for that record, in addition to vocalist Joey Belladonna‘s parts.
As seen in the below post newly shared by the band, those sessions have seen them joined in the studio by a very famous friend: Foo Fighters, etc. vocalist/guitarist Dave Grohl. Grohl‘s visit isn’t too shocking of a development, as this latest round of sessions appear to be taking place at the Foo Fighters‘ Studio 606 in Los Angeles, CA.
It was not made clear whether or not you can expect to hear Grohl on Anthrax‘s long-awaited twelfth studio album, or if he was just checking in on some old friends.
