Lespecial’s Latest Nod To Primus Sounds Just Like The Real Thing


Progressive rock trio lespecial have never really been shy about their hero worship of multi-platinum alternative metal oddballs Primus. Back in 2021, the power trio took on the daunting task of covering Primus‘ 1990 debut album “Frizzle Fry” in its entirety, and by all accounts pulled it off (see below.)

Late last month lespecial issued their latest studio album, and featured upon it is an unapologetic nod to the works of Primus. Surprisingly, the track is done convincingly enough that it could fit right at home in the catalog of Les Claypool and co.. That song is titled “Del Mondo Strangewich” and is available to stream below.
