A video for Mors Subita‘s “Fire, Walk With Me” accompanies today’s (October 13th) release date of the band’s new album “Origin Of Fire“. The adventurous Finnish melodic death metal outfit’s vocalist Eemeli Bodde commented of the track:
“The song is about surrendering to life and being reborn. Everyone has their own spark somewhere deep inside that gives us the strength to continue this daily struggle. Re-igniting that spark is something that often feels intimidating, unrealistic, and distant, but to light your own fire requires nothing more than a little courage and dedication. The flames may burn for a while, but in the end, a more intact phoenix rises from the ash heap.”
Guitarist/vocalist Mika Lammassaari added:
“The track ‘Fire, Walk With Me‘ is first and foremost meant to bulldoze over the listener. It’s a straightforward, no compromise heavy tune with pretty much everything turned to hyperdrive. Musically, it’s a mix of grindcore, deathgrind, and some sort of industrial spices. From my standpoint, it’s the perfect mixture. This track reflects the full energy and no bullshit mentality we want to keep pushing forward in our music.”
