New Thy Art Is Murder Vocalist Tyler Miller Shares Brief Video Statement

Thy Art Is Murder‘s latest vocalist Tyler Miller (Aversions Crown, etc.) has issued his first statement since being asked to join the Australian deathcore outfit. Miller‘s addition to the band followed the controversial firing of their previous vocalist CJ McMahon.Thy Art Is Murder contend that several incidents apparently drove a wedge between the band and McMahon, leading up to eventual firing in the wake of controversial statements on gender identity.

Miller was drafted in secret to re-record the vocal parts originally laid down on Thy Art Is Murder‘s newly released album “Godlike“. Miller‘s vocals thus far appear on the digital version of that record and were said to have been recorded roughly a week or two prior to the album’s release.

Miller was officially unveiled as the band’s singer during last week’s opening date of their ongoing European tour. He kept it brief in this newly shared video from the band’s social media, which as filmed amid their September 30th show in Wiesbaden, Germany. Here’s what he had to say:

“…I’m sure all of you are wondering who the fuck I am. My name is Tyler Miller. Some of you may know who I am, some of you may not. If not, that’s totally fine. It’s been kind of a crazy situation. One minute, I’m doing nothing in my house. The next minute I’m getting a text and now I’m here.

Tour’s been awesome. We’re only a couple of days in. It’s been super heavy, super fun. And I’m looking forward to meeting each and every single one of you. So, thank you guys so much.”

A cursory glance of McMahon‘s social media finds him sharing various posts from fans championing him and his performance on the album. There’s also a few disparaging remarks made by fans against Thy Art Is Murder‘s current lineup that have been shared on his social media as well.
