Watch Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith One-Take His Own Drum Parts For 30 Seconds To Mars’ “The Kill”

Chad Smith, the acclaimed drummer behind multi-platinum funk rock icons Red Hot Chili Peppers, recently took part in Drumeo‘s ongoing series of videos, in which they play an unknown song to a musician and have them create their own parts for it. The 61-year-old received his first listen of 30 Seconds To Mars‘ 2005 single “The Kill” for this latest episode.

Smith guessed that it may be a My Chemical Romance track, before quipping, “it’s some kind of emo thing, I don’t know what the fuck it is.”
