A music video for Baroness‘ current single “Shine” received its online premiere today, August 31st. That song was first released earlier this month and comes from the alternative metal outfit’s new album “Stone“. A September 15th release date has been scheduled for that record, which will arrive as the band’s sixth studio outing.
The band themselves oversaw the directorial duties of this new video clip, with guitarist/vocalist Gina Gleason tasked with editing it.
Baroness have also newly announced the dates for a run of in-store performances due to take place this September around the release of their aforementioned new album. Vocalist/guitarist John Baizley offered:
“Independent music stores are a huge part of our musical background. We discovered so much music in them as teenagers; they undoubtedly had a profound effect on all of our development as young artists (they still do). We are thrilled to be able to travel around the East Coast this September to play stripped down sets in some of our favorite shops.”
