Tallah Part Ways With Turntablist/Sampler Mewzen In The Wake Of Allegations

Nü-core band Tallah have announced that they have parted ways with their turntablist/sampler/keyboardist Alizé “Mewzen” Rodriguez in the wake of allegations made against him. The group began officially working with Mewzen in 2020. In a new statement shared by the band late Friday, August 25th, they announced that they have cut ties with the musician.

That statement reads as follows:

“We have just been informed about the allegations against Mewzen (Alizé Rodriguez). We do not condone such behavior, and we are cutting ties with him effective immediately.”

The allegations in question stem from an anonymous party, who in various screencapped chatlogs, was shown to be 16-17 at the time of an apparently sexually-oriented series of conversations with Mewzen. The alleged conversations saw Mewzen knowingly identify as being around 20-21 at the time.

Allegations of sexual coercion and grooming were leveled against Mewzen based on these screencaps, which were compiled and posted by New Fury Media. Thus far, Mewzen does not appear to have publicly addressed the claims.
