Despite currently being on an extended hiatus amid “drama and issues”, multi-platinum alternative metal band Stone Sour managed to deliver some six studio albums amid their active time together.
Given the breadth of that material, the band’s vocalist/guitarist Corey Taylor (also of Slipknot) was recently put to the task of selecting which song he feels serves as the best introduction to all things Stone Sour.
Asked as much by a fan via an upcoming Revolver feature, Taylor landed upon the band’s signature track, the platinum-certified “Through Glass“. Explaining his decision, Taylor offered:
“Probably ‘Through Glass‘ — not just because I wrote it, but because it was such a sleeper song. Like, there were only a handful of people who really believed in that song, and then when it came out, it just exploded like nothing I’d ever seen before.
So that’s something I’m really proud of.”
