Falling In Reverse vocalist Ronnie Radke has stirred the pot a bit with his recent criticisms of the audience reaction at this this year’s ‘Rock Fest‘ in Cadott, WI. The group played a nine-song set this past Friday, July 14th with the crowd’s apparent lack of enthusiasm not meeting Radke‘s expectations.
Various social media exchanges took place after Radke‘s initial comment, which you can find below:
fans are always allowed to criticize bands, their music and performance, it’s time for bands to criticize crowds, cadot Wisconsin was boring as hell. LOL. what are some cities you band dudes hate playing cause you know the crowds are lame?

I expect they have nothing to lose so they’d give everything they had, not cadot https://t.co/7ulThAbVk1

I do that at every show, that’s a part of the show. Cadot Wisconsin must’ve been full of cheese curds last night, I’ll go back to my arena tour where they go the fuck off keeo the cheese curds and hay stacks https://t.co/b7mHU3aSHM

Seating and security at this year’s ‘Rock Fest‘ may have played a part in the crowd’s participation however, as one fan shared the below photo and possible explanation:
It's not the fact we were boring.
This is AS CLOSE you could get without VIP. (Which pissrd me off because this was SO far away.
that and the front of the stage for 30 rows was benches.
During INK, people were moshing, but a security dude came in and broke it up. Beecaue, this… pic.twitter.com/FnnW7j0Sx3— Savitzen (@Savitzen) July 16, 2023
Some of the conversation on Radke‘s twitter also steered towards his vocal chops on the live stage and his apparent preference of not warming up before shows. You can find some of that below:
Chris warms his vocals up for an hour before every show. I don’t have to. I just walk on stage and sing like a fucking champion I’m a better singer live and on record. he knows it too. And so do you https://t.co/tT9NRRD0cs

I’m a 20 year veteran of singing, singing coaches don’t do what I do. I use every asiect of my vocals, talking, screaming high and low falsetto and grit, I don’t warm up. Why would I fatigue my voice before I get on stage, I’m built different https://t.co/7uaZ5VMjbH

This past spring saw Radke miss a string of shows due to Radke‘s vocal cord issues and illness.
