Marc Urselli‘s SteppenDoom have shared their cover of Soundgarden‘s 1994 classic “4th Of July” in honor of today being the big day. That collective also roped in Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron to participate. Alain Johannes (Queens Of The Stone Age, etc.) and Stoned Jesus‘ Igor Sydorenko also took part, as did Utelo and Albert Kuvezin (Yat-Kha).
This rendition is the latest to emerge from the upcoming tribute to Soundgarden‘s 6x multi-platinum album “Superunknown“. Orchestrated by Magnetic Eye Records, that record has been titled “Superunknown Redux” and is headed for a July 14th release date.
An additional Soundgarden tribute album titled “Best Of Soundgarden (Redux)” will land on the same date. You can find the track listings for both compilations below:
