The Identity Of Slipknot’s Latest Member Appears To Have Accidentally Been Confirmed

While admirable attempts have been made over the years, masked metal phenoms Slipknot haven’t exactly had the best batting average when it comes to retaining their anonymity. While the core members of the group eventually dropped the veil on their own identities fairly early on during their ascent to fame, the musicians who have all been added since have largely arrived shrouded in mystery.

Such is the case for the latest addition, a keyboardist/programmer who took over for Craig Jones earlier this month. Since his instatement, rumors have been abound that it is Zac Baird behind the mask of the group’s newest member.

A previous touring veteran of Korn and Ghost, Baird‘s credentials in touring with not only a large metal band, but also playing masked, certainly made him a rather obvious choice. While the band are keeping their lips sealed on the identity of their latest brother in arms, the band’s percussionist Michael “Tortilla Man” Pfaff appears to have accidentally spilled the beans.

A since-deleted Instagram story shared by Pffaf finds the band’s stage outfits on a rack behind the affectionately named ‘Tortilla Man‘. While nametags specify the outfits from vocalist Corey Taylor, guitarist Mick Thomson and the like, one listing reads simply ‘Zac‘. Many fans have since taken this as a smoking gun on top various other sightings of Baird in close proximity to the band on their spring/summer European tour.

you guys might be right about zac baird…
