Duff McKagan Releases Title Track From His New Solo Album “Lighthouse”

Guns N’ Roses bassist/vocalist Duff McKagan will be releasing his third solo album “Lighthouse” on October 20th. The title track from that outing has newly made its way online, while pre-orders for the record can be found at duffonline.com

Duff himself commented of the record:

“The crashing….the cresting waves, the falling through of all that surrounds you. Life sometimes tosses us around, and we feel the want of comfort and the pull of home. A ship tossed like a toy through the Cape, sails ripped and the wood groaning with the scraping of its ballast….a soul trying with all its might to find peace and a center. Find a lighthouse. I have my lighthouse….its beacon swirling in the darkness with her warmth and promise of nurture, love, laughter, and all that is true. Won’t you be my lighthouse, give me light,…and bring me home.”

Several special guests appear on the record, including his Guns N’ Roses bandmate Slash on the track “Hope” (which also features drummer Abe Laboriel Jr.), and Alice In Chains vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell on “I Just Don’t Know“. Rock legend Iggy Pop also appears on an alternative take of the album’s title track.
