Professional skateboarding legend Tony Hawk fronts a newly unveiled cover of the early Nine Inch Nails staple “Wish“. Recorded for the Mikey And His Uke YouTube channel, this rendition of the industrial metal classic finds Hawk joined by several musicians from the heavy scene.
Among the participants are guitarists Ben Weinman (Suicidal Tendencies, ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan) and Mikey Hawdon (Fairmounts), bassist Brad Magers (The Bronx, etc.), keyboardist Kat Lucas (stormylovechild, etc.) and drummer Ryan “Legs” Leger (ex-Every Time I Die/Teeth, etc.). You may also want to pay attention to the video for a very choice cameo.
Weinman of course previously covered “Wish“back in 2006 with The Dillinger Escape Plan and even performed the song live with Nine Inch Nails.
