Last night (May 09th) saw Gojira vocalist/guitarist Joe Duplantier join his current tourmates in Mastodon onstage for a set-closing performance of Mastodon‘s signature track: 2004’s “Blood And Thunder“. That live pairing took place at the Virginia Credit Union Live! at Richmond Raceway in Richmond, VA.
Being that the tour was in Lamb Of God country, that wasn’t the only surprise fans in attendance were treated to last night. Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe, who has long been a fan of Gojira, joined the group onstage for his latest live performance of their track “Backbone” with them.
