Pantera returned to the stage for their first U.S. concert in over 20 years tonight (May 06th.) The group took to the stage at the ‘Thunder Beach Spring Rally‘ in Panama City Beach, FL. In what was seemingly a nod to the latest anniversary of their eighth studio album “The Great Southern Trendkill” (originally released on May 07th, 1996), the veteran groove metal outfit added “Suicide Note Pt. II” to their setlist. The last time Pantera performed that track was all the way back in May of 2021.
The band’s current incarnation of course finds vocalist Phil Anselmo and bassist/vocalist Rex Brown returning with guitarist Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne, etc.) and drummer Charlie Benante (Anthrax, etc.)
Fan-filmed footage of this latest performance has emerged online below via Metal Edge. The setlist for this latest performance ran as follows:
“Mouth For War”
“A New Level”
“Strength Beyond Strength”
“Becoming”
“I’m Broken”
“This Love”
“Yesterday Don’t Mean Shit”
“Suicide Note Pt. II”
“Walk”
“Domination” / “Hollow”
“Cowboys From Hell”
