Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor kicked off his new solo tour last night (May 02nd) with a set at the Santander Arena in Reading, PA. During that show he debuted two new tracks which are headed for his forthcoming sophomore solo album, “CMF2“. Those songs included “We Are The Rest” and “Beyond“.
The latter track has origins dating back well over a decade, having previously been performed by Taylor and his The Junk Beer Kidnap Band. According to Taylor, “Beyond” will serve as the first single from the upcoming “CMF2“, with a music video tentatively set to debut online on May 15th.
In addition to other previously released solo tracks, Taylor and co. rolled through covers of the likes of Slipknot, Stone Sour, Motörhead and John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band during the set. Taylor‘s tour continues tonight in Johnstown, PA. Cherry Bombs are opening that run.
