As I Lay Dying

Tim Lambesis Confirms All Current Members Of As I Lay Dying Are Contributing To The Band’s New Album

As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis has confirmed that the forthcoming eighth studio album from the aforementioned metalcore outfit will be a group effort. The San Diego, CA band of course parted ways with guitarist/vocalist Nick Hipa, bassist/vocalist Josh Gilbert and drummer Jordan Mancino since the release of their current album, 2019’s “Shaped By Fire“.

While we already knew that current drummer Nick Pierce (ex-Unearth) hit the studio earlier this month, Lambesis has now confirmed that the band’s other latest additions, former Unearth guitarist Ken Susi and Miss May I bassist/vocalist Ryan Neff, will both be taking part in the band’s new album. In addition to the above members, guitarist/vocalist Phil Sgrosso remains a member of the outfit.

Speaking recently with Heavy New York, Lambesis commented:

Nick Pierce just finished tracking drums for the As I Lay Dying record a couple of weeks ago‚Ķ Unfortunately, in modern times, that doesn’t mean the record’s coming out very soon, but it’s in the works. We’re working with Ryan Neff. Ken Susi‘s doing some solos. Nick Pierce already tracked the drums. So to answer some of those questions about, ‘Are those guys contributing in any way?’, obviously they are. We just haven’t really had a final product to deliver yet.”
