System Of A Down’s “Chop Suey!” Surpasses 1 Billion Streams On Spotify

System Of A Down‘s breakout single “Chop Suey!” has officially joined the 1 billion plays club on Spotify. Launched in August of 2001 as the lead single from the group’s landmark sophomore album “Toxicity“, that track would go on to be certified 5x multi-platinum last year. It’s mainstream success helped propel “Toxicity” to 6x multi-platinum status in the United States.

The official music video upload for “Chop Suey!” joined the 1 billion views club on YouTube back in the fall of 2020. Next month will find the outfit back onstage as one of the headliners for this year’s first-ever ‘Sick New World‘ festival, which will be held May 13th at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, NV.
