Max And Iggor Cavalera Re-Record Sepultura’s “Bestial Devastation” & “Morbid Visions”, Announce Fall Tour With Exhumed & Incite

The brotherly duo of Max and Iggor Cavalera have revisited their early works in Sepultura together. Together the pair have re-recorded that band’s 1985 debut EP “Bestial Devastation” and it’s 1986 debut full-length follow-up, “Morbid Visions“. The brothers re-recorded those efforts at The Platinum Underground in Phoenix, AZ, overseeing the production duties themselves. John Aquilino took on the engineering duties, while Arthur Rizk (Soulfly, Code Orange) took on the mixing and mastering duties.

Both of those revisited albums will be released under the banner of Cavalera via Nuclear Blast. Speaking of that, Max offered:

“As we get harder year after year, sometimes you’ve got to go back to where it all started! We re-recorded Bestial Devastation and Morbid Visions with the amazing sound of NOW, but with its raw and timeless spirit. The artwork reflects the times we’re living in right now… Apocalyptic as hell! We also have two new tracks with riffs from those days, remembered by heart.”

Iggor added:

“I always felt like the recordings of our earlier work didn’t do justice to the way we performed the songs. So, this is a very special moment in our lives that we are very proud to show you real fans our true representation of the amazing records Bestial Devastation & Morbid Visions with an insane visual identity…enjoy and see you all in the pit.”

Exact release dates for both efforts are pending. Each offering will sport new artwork by Eliran Kantor. You can find pre-saves for each outing here and here.

Additionally, the pair will be out celebrating those recordings on the road this fall as part of the ‘Morbid Devastation Tour‘. Bass duties on that trek will be assumed by Max‘s son Igor Amadeus Cavalera (Healing Magic, Go Ahead And Die), while Travis Stone (Pig Destroyer, Desolus) will take on the lead guitar role.

Exhumed and Incite will be opening that trek, with tickets set to launch next Friday, April 21st at 10:00am local time.
