Revocation’s Dave Davidson To Finish Out Current Tour Despite Recently Breaking His Wrist

Revocation vocalist/guitarist Dave Davidson has suffered a broken wrist, the injury took place amid the band’s April 07th live show in Cincinnati, OH. While the injury has obviously impacted his guitar ability, he intends to soldier on and finish out the tour, focusing on vocals.

Speaking on social media earlier today, Davidson commented:

“As many of you have noticed, I haven’t been playing guitar the past few nights on tour. I took a gnarly fall while performing on stage in Cincinnati when I tripped over a cable. I fell backwards and instinctively threw my wrist back to break my fall, but unfortunately I broke my wrist in the process.

I could tell something was wrong as soon as I stood up but I ended up finishing the set and was hoping it was just a sprain. Got checked out the next day and the x ray showed I did in fact break my wrist, doctor said I won’t be able to play for the next 6-8 weeks which is a total bummer but I’ve decided to soldier on, pull a Hetfield and finish the rest of the tour on vocals. Come out to the rest of the dates and dust off your air guitars, I could use a hand with the solos.”

Notably, this is the same tour with Morbid Angel, Crypta, Skeletal Remains and Vitriol, which was hit by a tornado mid-show in Belvidere, IL late last month. The damage to the venue that night claimed the life of one concertgoer and left dozens more injured.

With Morbid Angel, Crypta and Vitriol:

04/14 Albany, NY – Empire Live
04/15 Worcester, MA – The Palladium
04/16 Baltimore, MD – Soundstage
04/18 Knoxville, TN – The Concourse
04/19 Atlanta, GA – Masquerade
04/21 Tampa, FL – Orpheum
04/22 Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Culture Room
