Bleed The Fifth, the Divine Heresy tribute band led by the latter’s former vocalist Tommy Vext and drummer Tim Yeung, have shared their cover of the 2007 Divine Heresy single, “Closure“. “Bleed The Fifth” was of course also the name of Divine Heresy‘s debut album, which “Closure” appeared upon.
Originally formed by Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares and Devolved drummer John Sankey in 2005, Divine Heresy have largely been dormant since 2010. Cazares announced last year that he intended to relaunch the group with Once Human‘s Lauren Hart on vocals and Gabe Seeber of Decrepit Birth on drums.
Vext‘s current Lone Wolf backing band of Yeung, ex-Soulfly/current Ill Niño guitarist Marc Rizzo, ex-Machine Head bassist Adam Duce and guitarist Bill Hudson (NorthTale, etc.) are currently involved in Bleed The Fifth.
The group are scheduled to perform live tomorrow, April 08th at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, CA. Vext‘s exit from Divine Heresy in 2008 emerged following a pair of physical altercations with Cazares.
