There’s rumors abound that a new metal festival will be held this year by the name of ‘Power Trip‘. If the current rumors are to be believed, that festival will be held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA later this fall. It will reportedly feature the likes of Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden and more.

The event is rumored to be taking place October 06th to 08th, with a full reveal scheduled for this Thursday March 30th. A mailing list signup is currently available through powertrip.live.

It would appear that the fest is not related to the Texan crossover thrash outfit of the same name, but rather a companion festival to a past event put on by promoters Goldenvoice by the name of ‘Desert Trip‘.
