A cover of The Crucifucks‘ “Marching For Trash” has newly been shared by Squid Pisser. The latter outfit’s Tommy Meehan (Deaf Club, Cancer Christ) commented of their take on the song, which features a guest spot from Arrow DeWilde of Starcrawler:

“I remember the first time I heard ‘Marching For Trash‘ by The Crucifucks. I was working the 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. shifts at this tiny hotdog shop on Hollywood Blvd. All the punk rock kids that worked there were always introducing me to new music. The Crucifucks were one of the bands that were in constant rotation on the stereo while I was serving chili dogs and lemonades to the club kids of Hollywood, and I’ve wanted to cover one of their songs for years.

When Squid Pisser was getting ready to go into the studio to record ‘My Tadpole Legion‘, we added this song at the very last minute and were very excited to experiment with the sonic and textural backdrop for Arrow DeWilde’s vocals.

Getting Arrow to sing on the track was an exciting and obvious choice for Seth and me. We wanted to embrace and echo the snotty and angsty brattiness of Doc Dart’s original vocal delivery and Arrow was really able to channel that.”

The group’s debut album “My Tadpole Legion” is presently set for an April 14th release date.
