It Looks Like Roughly 30 Artists Have Dropped Off The Impending UK ‘Hammerfest’

Those planning to attend the UK’s ‘Hammerfest‘ at the O2 Academy In Birmingham, UK this coming weekend will apparently be taking in a starkly diminished bill. According to various social media posts from bands originally booked for the festival, roughly 30 artists have dropped off the fest.

An alleged lack of proper compensation for playing the festival appears to be the common theme cited amid the statements made by those who have exited the event. Among the artists to pull out is one of the planned headliners, Primordial. They shared the below statement regarding their withdrawal from the bill earlier this week:

“We have been forced to cancel this weekends appearance at Hammerfest due to the conditions and terms of our confirmation agreement not being met. Apologies to anyone who bought tickets, arranged travel plans or was hoping to see us finally perform in Birmingham again after all these years. We hope to reschedule something soon. Thanks/Primordial

Other artists, such as A Forest Of Stars, withdrew from the bill after claiming to have yet to receive payment for shows they played for the event organizer back in December of last year. As it currently stands, the event’s organizers don’t appear to have publicly addressed the staggering departure of artists from the event.

However, per a diligent fan who has been tracking the social media of the bands announced for the event, those planning to attend can apparently expect to see the following roster:
