“Slip“, the 1993 debut album from Influential post-hardcore outfit Quicksand, is getting a new expanded vinyl release. Iodine Recordings is preparing this new pressing, which celebrates the album’s 30th anniversary. That record was originally released on February 09th of 1993.
Several vinyl configurations of the effort are being made available, with a bonus cover of The Smiths‘ “How Soon Is Now?” included on the effort. A deluxe edition of the record also comes with a 64-page hardcover book that not only features a foreword from the band’s vocalist/guitarist Walter Schreifels, but also contributions from many of the group’s peers.
Among those to partake are members of Anthrax, Helmet, Sepultura, Thursday, Rise Against, Refused, Youth Of Today, Thrice, Agnostic Front, Snapcase, Earth Crisis and more.
That deluxe edition is limited 2,000 copies and will also feature never-before-seen photographs from the album’s era, along with flyers and concert posters and more ranging from 1990 to 1994. Pre-orders for the set are available now here. The standard vinyl edition is headed for a March 31st release, while the deluxe set will be out on May 26th.
