Australian deathcore horde Thy Art Is Murder may be about to embark on a U.S. leg celebrate the tenth anniversary of their 2021 sophomore album “Hate“, but they don’t plan to devote 2023 solely to nostalgia. Not only do the group have a sixth studio album up their sleeves, they’ve also got a new EP as well. The latter outing is expected “quite soon”, according to the band’s guitarist Andy Marsh.
Speaking recently with Heavy New York, Marsh said of what the band have planned for the year or so ahead:
“Moving forward now, it’s been so bloody long. we made ‘Killing Season‘ at the end of that Cannibal Corpse tour in 2019. We’ve just put together a whole new record over the last three months, which I don’t even know what it sounds like – I mean, I know what it sounds like but I don’t know what you’d call it.
We’ve got an EP coming out quite soon. So we’ve got a lot of music planned for the next 18 months. I can’t give an answer as to what it sounds like because I’ve got no bloody idea.”
As with their past releases, the band once again enlisted the services of producer/musician Will Putney for this new record. The U.S. leg of the band’s “Hate” tour with Kublai Khan TX, Undeath, I AM and Justice For The Damned will run as follows:
