While there’s still much mystery surrounding the current spinoffs that have emerged from the dissolution of beloved Buffalo, NY metalcore outfit Every Time I Die, at least one question can be put to bed. It has been confirmed that the band’s former guitarist Andy Williams will not be joining several of his other bandmates in their new venture.
The bitter split of Every Time I Die saw the band’s lineup divided, with vocalist Keith Buckley on one side and guitarists Jordan Buckley & Williams, bassist Stephen Micciche and drummer Clayton “Goose” Holyoak on the other. Following the split, the aforementioned majority of the band indicated that they hoped to continue on playing together.
Per recent updates, Jordan, Micciche and Holyoak have been in the studio recording material for their new group. While the identity of who will be fronting the outing and more remains a secret, it has now been clarified that Williams won’t be involved in the venture.
Replying to a fan about Williams‘ status in the fledgling group on Instagram, Micciche offered.
“Andy is not [involved.] He’s a full time wrestler and can’t tour full time at the moment.”
Williams of course is currently signed with AEW, where he wrestles as ‘The Butcher‘. He hasn’t hung up his guitar yet though, having been jamming recently with ex-Every Time I Die drummer Michael “Ratboy” Novak. Meanwhile, ex-Every Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley has been working on a new band of his own as well, with more details to come.
