Revolver got ahold of Deftones vocalist/guitarist Chino Moreno and had him participate in their ongoing ‘Point Of Entry’ series. That series finds the publication asking various artists which track they feel serves as the best introduction to their respective catalogs.
The aforementioned frontman of the alternative metal favorites opted for the track “Digital Bath” off of their platinum-selling 2000 album “White Pony“. An intentional step outside of the confines of the nü-metal scene that had surrounded them to that point, “White Pony” would go on to be viewed by many as the band’s magnum opus.
Speaking as to why he selected that track, Moreno offered:
“‘Digital Bath‘ is probably one of my favorite songs that I’ve written. Really simple but, I don’t know, I think it’s really effective. I like the lyrics. I like the fact that it was just born out of basically two notes and a drumbeat. Things that kind of happen quick and organically, those tend to be some of my favorite songs that I’ve been a part of. Things that are made and they’re not so thought-out, they’re just kind of a reaction.”
