Ahead of their return to the stage this coming spring, Ohio natives Chimaira have shared the below live performance of “Pictures In The Gold Room“. That footage was captured during the last time the groove metal outfit played live.
That set took place back on December 30th, 2017, with the majority of the band’s ‘classic era’ lineup reconvening for a live reunion. That performance occurred some three years after the band ground to a halt and roughly six years after a mass exodus of many of the group’s established roster.
Earlier this week Chimaira announced a pair of reunion shows for this coming May. Those dates will take place at The Agora Theater & Ballroom in Cleveland, OH on May 12th and 13th. Like the 2017 show, vocalist Mark Hunter, guitarist Rob Arnold, guitarist Matt DeVries, bassist Jim LaMarca and keyboardist/programmer, etc. Chris Spicuzza and drummer Austin D’Amond (ex-DevilDriver, etc.) will be performing.
Details include:
Friday, May 14th:
Chimaira
Integrity
State Of Conviction
Saturday, May 15th:
Chimaira
Ringworm
Solipsist
Each of those dates will serve as celebrations for the the 20th anniversary of Chimaira‘s 2003 sophomore album “The Impossibility Of Reason“, which “Pictures In The Gold Room” originates from. Tickets for that show are on sale now via chimaira.com.
