Springfield, MA-based melodic metalcore outfit All That Remains have earned themselves another sales/streaming accolade. Their signature track, “Two Weeks“, from their 2008 album “Overcome” has officially gone platinum in the United States. The RIAA certified the song as such yesterday, November 16th. It had previously gone gold back in October of 2018.
It’s the band’s first track to attain platinum status, with their singles “What If I Was Nothing” and their cover of the 1990 Garth Brooks hit “The Thunder Rolls” previously having attained gold status last year.
A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit.
