Alternative metalcore outfit Bad Omens have publicly commented on the wave of success they’ve recently found themselves riding. Buoyed by their track “Just Pretend” from their latest album “The Death Of Peace Of Mind” going viral on TikTok, the group have found themselves climbing the charts.
As of press time, that song sits at #17 on Spotify‘s Viral 50 – Global chart, #1 on the iTunes metal chart and #3 on the iTunes rock chart. The boost in interest has also seen the band manage to sell out their entire ongoing North American headlining tour, even after upgrading numerous venues on it.
Taking to social media to address the viral success and the influx of new fans, the band commented earlier this week:
Just Pretend wasn’t a single.
It popped off 6 months after the album came out and still doesn’t have a video. We promise it’s still cool to enjoy that song, don’t let the internet tell you it’s not. Think for yourself, friend.??

It’s also absolutely okay if you’re new here and that’s the only song you know or like. Don’t let anyone “name 3 songs” you.

The group’s burgeoning profile has also led to moments like the one below, which transpired after their November 07th live performance at the Rise Rooftop in Houston, TX:
