Metallica, Def Leppard and more are among the newly announced participants in an upcoming line of graphic novels being primed for a release from Vault Comics. The featured stories are expected to be inspired by the individual artists careers and will emerge via a new Hellshead imprint.
Speaking of the partnership, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich offered:
“The team at Vault are pushing boundaries and are bold storytellers. We are excited to partner with them.”
Vault CEO Damian Wassel commented:
“We have one overriding goal at Vault: to bring readers the very best comics and graphic novels. We’re thrilled to bring that experience creating amazing, award-winning stories to Headshell in partnership with some of the biggest names in music. I can’t wait to share the Headshell line of books with the world.”
Further details are currently pending for Metallica and Def Leppard‘s books. The Hollywood Reporter note that there may be a bit of synergy going on behind the scenes however, as Black Squirrel Ventures, who oversee some of Metallica‘s investment portfolio, previously took up a stake in Vault Comics.
