Supergroup L.S. Dunes have fired off another track from their approaching debut album “Past Lives“. Below you can find a music video for the band’s track “Bombsquad“, along with a live video for it. The featured performance was recorded at Dreamland Studios in Woodstock, NY.
The group’s lineup consists of a who’s who of the emo and post-hardcore scenes, including Anthony Green (Circa Survive), guitarists Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance) and Travis Stever (Coheed & Cambria), bassist Tim Payne (Thursday) and drummer Tucker Rule (Thursday).
Green commented of this track:
“The lyrics for ‘Bombsquad‘ came from a poem that I wrote around the time of the January 6 insurrection. In the midst of the pandemic, people were trying to take down the government because a ConMan politician couldn’t admit that he had lost the election, not for any legitimate grievance or protest. The song is a rage against society’s depressing and destructive forces.”
Focusing in on the usage of the word ‘Leora’ in the song’s chorus, Green added:
“‘Leora‘ is an age-old word meaning ‘of the light’ or ‘compassion,’ which I think is something we need to call and reflect on for growth and unity.”
