Five Finger Death Punch‘s set at the USANA Amphitheater in West Valley City, UT last night (October 15th) was cut short some 8 songs in. The Las Vegas, NV chart-toppers were forced to cancel their performance halfway through after the power to the venue was knocked out by an apparent drunk driver. The band’s guitarist Zoltan Bathory commented of the matter on social media:
Salt Lake City started out as an incredible show with 20,000 fans … this was going off 🚀 when a drunk driver hit a transformer down the road and knocked out the power for the whole area 🤬 one more reason to not drink and drive… you screwed up 20,000 people’s day

Last night’s show was the closing date of the group’s headlining run with Megadeth, The HU and Fire From The Gods. They intend to follow that up later this fall with a trek alongside Brantley Gilbert and Cory Marks.
This past Friday, October 14th saw Five Finger Death Punch frontman Ivan Moody announce from the stage that he would be “retiring from heavy metal” after another album cycle from the band. You can see what he had to say in regards to that here.
