SOEN have released a music video for their cover of “Snuff“, the 2009 single from masked metal behemoth’s Slipknot. SOEN notably feature ex-Opeth/Amon Amarth drummer Martin Lopez among their numbers. This particular cover is taken from SOEN‘s previously livestreamed in-studio concert film, “Atlantis“. That set is due for a home release on November 18th through Silver Lining Music.
The band commented of their cover:
“We wanted to do something extra special during the Atlantis concert. The obvious path would have been to pick an epic progressive song from the likes of Genesis, Pink Floyd, etc. Instead, we went for the opposite with ‘Snuff’, a scaled down and brutally honest song that we all love in its powerful sincerity.”
The featured live performance was captured on December 10th, 2021 at the Atlantis Grammofon Studio in Stockholm, Sweden. It saw the band accompanied by an 8-piece orchestra. SOEN will be back in North America starting next month for the following run:
