Alice In Chains’ “Dirt” Has Cracked The Top 10 Of The Billboard 200 Amid Its 30th Anniversary Celebrations


Alice In Chains‘ landmark grunge album “Dirt” recently rocketed back up the charts as fans revisited the outing for its official 30th anniversary. That 5x multi-platinum 1992 opus turned 30 on September 29th and was celebrated with a 30th anniversary reissue across three separate vinyl pressings.

On the strength of that reissue, the album has managed to re-enter the Billboard 200 at #9, with 26,000 album equivalent album units having been shifted since the September 23rd release of the reissue. According to, that jump represented a 641% increase from the album’s performance the previous week. Of those units, 22,500 were attributed vinyl sales.

Dirt” peaked on the Billboard 200 at #6 amid its first week of release back in October of 1992 and has since enjoyed 103 weeks on the chart.
