Stone Temple Pilots’ Robert De Leo To Release Debut Solo Album, Shares First Single


Robert De Leo, bassist and principal songwriter of multi-platinum alternative rock outfit Stone Temple Pilots, is preparing to drop his debut solo album, “Lessons Learned” on October 21st. De Leo takes on multiple instruments on this forthcoming effort, with the first single “Love Is Not Made Of Gold” having launched online below. Jimmy Gnecco of Ours fame joins him on this newly shared track.

Speaking of the album itself, De Leo offered:

“The past few years of life have revealed many changes. This collection of songs represents what has transpired. The journey and gift of songwriting has played such an important role for me. It’s been a close companion throughout my life.”

Regarding the first single, he stated, “I needed to confess my feelings on that ever so mystical word… LOVE. I wanted this song to come across in such a way that really hits where it hurts.”
