Alternative rock superstars The Smashing Pumpkins will release their new album “Atum” on April 21st, 2023. Conceived as a sequel to the band’s diamond-certified 1995 double album “Melon Collie And The Infinite Sadness” and 2000’s gold-certified “Machina / The Machine Of God“, “Atum” will arrive as a 33-song, 3 act rock opera. The song “Beguiled” has been chosen as the first single from the release and a music video for it has debuted online below.

This Friday, September 23rd will see the group perform that aforementioned first single on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon‘. In other news, the band’s mastermind William Patrick Corgan has launched a new IHeartRadio-backed podcast series titled ‘Thirty-Three‘ centered around the album. Each episode will reveal a new track from the sprawling new record across the next 33 weeks. Two episodes have been shared online now and can be found here.

In keeping pace with the podcast, each of the album’s 3 acts will be released digitally ahead of time, with Act 1 set to stream on November 15th. Act 2 will follow on January 31st, 2023, while the entire album will ultimately be made available on April 21st.
