Former Black Peaks vocalist Will Gardner is now fronting a new band dubbed Skin Failure. His former Black Peaks bandmate, bassist Dave Larkin, also joins him in this outfit, which is completed by alumni of Memory Elephants and Kainoah. To be more exact, guitarists Paul Stallan and Toby Stewart and drummer Sam Simpson round out the group’s roster.
A first single by the name of “Meat Pond / Down By The River” has newly been given a digital release and features guest vocals from Charlie Davis of Wasted Death/Beggar fame. Skin Failure‘s debut album “Radillac” will be released on November 11th through Small Pond.
Commenting on this first track to be shared from it, the band stated:
“One of our favourites, this track came together super-fast when we were writing and then in the studio and it was a total joy to have Charlie come and guest with us. He really added some gnarly fucking character to the choruses and then the part in seven just sounds beastly with both Will and Charlie‘s voices.”
According to an official press release, “Radillac” is a concept album that, ‘tells the story of an interdimensional ‘Jesus’, flung into amphetamine-powered wormhole and travelling through time and space. ‘Meat Pond‘, track three from the record, has our ‘Jesus’ finding himself in 1980s London, meeting a godlike Jeff Bridges and training in a Matrix-style montage.’
Pre-orders for “Radillac” are available now at this location.
