Technical thrash metal outfit Vektor have signed a new worldwide deal with Century Media Records. Work is underway on the band’s first new album since 2016’s “Terminal Redux“. David DiSanto, who fronts and plays guitar for the group, commented:
“We are extremely pleased to announce that Vektor has signed with Century Media Records! They have long been on our radar, and we couldn’t be happier for this new partnership. Recording of our fourth studio album has commenced and we have set the bar very high for ourselves once again. We are eager to begin the next phase of our global takeover with such a legendary record label. On the heels of this amazing news, we cannot wait to begin our European tour this fall after a nearly six-year hiatus. See you out there, Vektonauts!”

The band’s career stalled back in 2016 after several members exited at once. While DiSanto went on to rebuild the band, 2019 found him hit with allegations of sexual assault and physical abuse by his wife at the time. He would later deny those allegations.
The backlash to Century Media‘s announcement of signing the band has been immediate, as a cursory glance at the comments on the label’s official Facebook post regarding the matter can be found below:
