Loathe Cancel Fall European & UK Tours To Focus On New Album

It’s certainly been a rough year to be a Loathe fan. First the rising alternative metal band were forced to cancel their summer European touring plans. Then their North American run with Northlane, Silent Planet and Avoid fell through amid Northlane‘s travel issues. Suffice to say, there’s been no shortage of disappointment.

Unfortunately Loathe are back with some more discouraging news, but it at least comes with a silver lining this time. The group announced today, August 17th that they will be cancelling their September and October European and UK touring plans in order to finish their next studio album. They had been booked to head out this fall with Void Of Vision and Omerta.

Speaking of their decision today, Loathe offered:

“People of United Kingdom and Europe,

After much painstaking deliberation, it is with regret that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our upcoming September and October headline dates.

We are currently in the penultimate stages of completing our new album, which the tour was initially booked to promote, and believe that opening up our time to focus entirely on the music is the correct thing to do, as using this time in September and October will allow us to complete the recording process.

We recognise that these cancellations are frustrating and we are deeply sorry for any inconvenience caused with purchases already made in ways of travel arrangements and tickets.

All ticket purchases will be refunded at your point of purchase.

Thank you for your endless support and understanding.

Kadeem, Erik, Feisal and Sean
