The surviving members of Pantera‘s classic lineup will be reuniting to tour and pay tribute to the legacy of the Texan groove metal champs in 2023. Billboard.com report that vocalist Philip H. Anselmo and bassist/vocalist Rex Brown have aligned with Artist Group International to book a North American tour for the coming year. One of their agents, Peter Pappalardo. commented of the trek, “We are thrilled to be working with such an iconic band and bringing their music back to the fans.”
Thus far it is unclear who will be filling in for the group’s late guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott and his brother, drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott. For the past several years, Anselmo has been touring as with members of his solo backing band The Illegals under the banner of ‘A Vulgar Display Of Pantera‘, performing songs from the multi-platinum metal band’s back catalogue.
