Linkin Park’s “Living Things” Singles Land New Multi-Platinum, Gold, Etc. Certifications

Linkin Park have notched up another round of certifications from the RIAA for the United States territory. Following last month’s round of awards, the ultra successful nü-metal band have been awarded several more multi-platinum, platinum and gold certifications for a trio of singles.

First up is their 2012 “Living Things” lead single “Burn It Down“. That song has newly gone 3x multi-platinum as of today, June 23rd. It was last certified 2x multi-platinum in August of 2017. Following that is the second single to have been launched from the aforementioned album, “Lost In The Echo“. That track has just went gold as of today.

Castle Of Glass“, which served as the fourth and final single from “Living Things“, rounds out the latest batch of awards, having been certified both gold and platinum today as well.

A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit.
