Korn Planning To “Get Together” With Fieldy Soon To “See How He’s Doing” Amid His Ongoing Hiatus From The Band

Tomorrow, June 21st, will mark a year since Korn bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu announced his decision to go on hiatus from pioneering nü-metal outfit Korn. At that time, he issued this statement, revealing that he had fallen back on some of his “bad habits” and that it had “been suggested to me to take some time off to heal.” With the support of his bandmates, he is said to have been doing jus that since.

As it currently stands, the plans for his potential return to the group (Suicidal Tendencies bassist Ra Diaz has dutifully been filling in for him) remain up in the air. In a recently conducted interview with Kerrang! Radio, Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch revealed that they hope to get some more clarity on the situation after winding down their ongoing European/UK touring.

Welch stated of that:

“We’ve been in contact with him. I just e-mailed him the other day. So we’re gonna get together and talk to him, see how he’s doing, see where his head is at, after this tour. Me and Munk were just talking about it. We love him, we’ve been in communication with him, and we’ll see.”
